36. Bob Marley & The Wailers - Legend

This "cut-out" version of the original album cover art was applied with angled strokes in order to obtain the sharpness. I sure did know that "cut-out" would make no compromises about shades and
Tuff Gong's face is here shaded in levels, separating light from dark. Robert Nesta Marley was born of a Jamaican mother. His father was British.

The angled strokes played well on the artist's angled face and angled fingers, did not finish well enough on his dreadlocks but sure did make the calligraphy look aged. Bob Marley died in
1981 at age 36. He is credited with putting Jamaica on the world map by making Reggae popular. He is also said to be the greatest musical artist from the Third World and was
inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1984.

Every time you see this pensive mood, don't forget that this man was
awarded the Peace Medal of the Third World by the United Nations.

Legend is a compilation album by Bob Marley and the Wailers, released in 1984. It is essentially a greatest hits collection of singles in its original vinyl format, and the
best-selling reggae album of all-time, with over 15 million copies sold in the United States and an estimated 25 million copies sold globally. More

Robert Nesta Marley’s legacy is one that will never die. Not only is he the highest selling reggae artist of all time, he was a revolutionary who, through the sheer
power of his music and its phenomenal, global influence, led many to believe him to be a prophet. His potent lyrics, often spiked with a deeply political
edge, chronicled the struggles of the poor and displaced, and his mantras of overcoming adversity will always resonate with so many of his listeners
who every day battle to make even the most humble reform. Full article

Bob Marley said, "Reggae music is too simple for [American musicians]. You must be inside of it, know what's happening, and why you want to
play this music. You don't just run and go play this music because you think you can make a million off it." Ironically, this set of the late
reggae idol's greatest hits has sold in the millions worldwide. In a single disc, it captures everything that made him an international
icon: his nuanced songcraft, his political message (and savvy), and – of course – the universal soul he brought to Jamaican rhythm
and Rastafarian spirituality. More
